Introducing W.A.P.A. and The Importance of Psychoanalysis in the Twenty-First Century
Seminar presented by Dr Grace Tarpey
Dr Tarpey is a member of the World Association of Psychoanalysis, the New Lacanian Society and the Lacan Circle of Melbourne. She has been in private practice for 17 years and is an experienced public speaker and philosophy academic.
This seminar introduces a new psychoanalytic organisation in Western Australia (W.A.P.A.). W.A.P.A. offers clinical training for the formation of psychoanalysts under the aegis of the World Association of Psychoanalysis and further provides professional development, courses and various study events.
In this free information seminar, Dr Tarpey addresses the question: “What is Psychoanalysis?" She discusses both classical and contemporary psychoanalysis and the significance and relevance of psychoanalysis for the twenty-first century.
